anyways. ultrakill ramble now. i saw a post on tumblr that wsa like "gabv1el art is always captioned stuff like 'in the absence of god it is your uncaring divinity i worship'" and there was a ms paint stickman covered in blood underneath it. ill have to find it later but it really got me thinking. you cannot separate the gabriel that exists in the now from the gabriel that existed in the past, the will of god, the judge of hell... all that will follow him until the end of his days. it kind of is just one day, but you get the point.

he did all these horrible things all in the name of the only and most good God... how did it feel for it to come crashing down around him? how did it feel to understand and finally know that He is dead, He was never going to come back. that your forsaken brother was right, in the end. how did it feel to question whether the morning star was too prideful or too correct? is it pride to know that someone above you is wrong? how did it feel to know that a fucking gopro brought you to this realization and also made you gay?

i saw that woke game detector put ultrakill down as woke because of the flag semaphore on violence's album cover translating to 'gay' and blahaj and the presence of bottom jokes in the fishing level and i think it really just speaks for both reactionary politics and the beauty of ultrakill itself. first i'll go into the reactionaru politics bit: this just proves to me that, somehow (sarcasm), people act on first instinct for everything have terrible media comprehension. that leads into...

ultrakill is inherently queer. gabriel is nonbinary and is imo clearly in lust/love (unclear which; likely both) with v1, a machine and genderless by default. the mindflayer is transfem coded as they sculpted their female form from nothing and will stop and nothing to protect it. with the latest update, male mindflayers have been added with a small chance to spawn, so there's transmasc mindflayers as well. methinks 2-S is basically v1 passing out and having a dream where it's a girl. (which is something that happens to people to crack their eggs)

it's altogether far too likely that the people making the video game woke detector didn't even play ultrakill. i mean, look at this thing. they don't even know v1 is nonbinary. they don't even know about mindflayer. they don't even know about mirage. they don't even know about gabriel.

anyways enough about wokeism. chat, do we think gabriel is a top or a bottom?

i mean, even if ultrakill wasn't pretty darn 'woke' (i have great disdain for the term as reactionary right-wing movements have made it) gianni matragrano still voice acts gabriel's stupid ass screaming and whining and trying to hide his v1 body pillow all the time. not canon but word of saint paul has gotta mean something, right? additionally, francis xie made a lot of concept art for ultrakill, including the aforementioned mindflayer and gabriel. francis xie is a trans guy. connect the dots. his art also slaps go look at it neow!!! although the question of whether being queer makes all art you make queer by itself is an important one, i don't believe it applies to mr. xie as he does draw trans characters and draws them quite often.
